High School: Four-year starter at Buchholz High for coaches Mark Whittemore and Donna Howard...set a school record for career batting average (.384)...as a senior, batted .420 and led the Bobcats to the class 5A state championship game...as a junior, hit a school-record .462 with a school-record four triples while leading team to the Sweet 16...as a sophomore, hit .328 to help lead the team to a fourth-place finish in the state...as a freshman, batted .326 to help the team to a third-place finish in district...also earned four letters in basketball, helping the team to a fourth-place finish in state as a sophomore and a spot in the Elite 8 as a senior.
